EXPLORE SCIENCE MAGAZINE

This magazine spread project was a small-scale class project to explore typography and hierarchy in editorial design, using an established copy article with a particular theme.  After several revisits and iterations, the final product is an exceptionally well-designed approach to a modern space enthusiast’s science magazine.  The black background allows celestial bodies to feel both at home and pop out from the page, where the text that surrounds them is reminiscent of stars in the night sky.  Montserrat and PT Serif form both halves of the title and copy fonts with good synergy and a modernistic feel that is right at home amongst the stars.
